RSP assigns responsibilities to proportional representation lawmakers

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has assigned responsibilities to its proportional representation (PR) lawmakers in the House of Representatives. 

The secretariat meeting held on Sunday decided to assign responsibilities to PR lawmakers in constituencies where the party did not win under the first-past-the-post system.

 Following this secretariat decision, the work division of the PR lawmakers was approved by the central committee meeting held on Monday. General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti informed on Tuesday that the responsibilities of the lawmakers have been assigned as per the meeting's decision. 

"The party has assigned responsibilities from the list of PR lawmakers for the constituencies where it could not secure victory in the direct elections," said Burlakoti.
