UML will ace in Province 2: UML Gen-Secy Pokharel
Mahendranagar (Dhanusha) - General-Secretary of CPN (UML), Ishwor Pokharel, has expressed his confidence that his party would emerge an ace one in the Province 2 where the third phase of local level election is due on September 18.
At a programme organized by CPN (UML) Janakpur Chapter at Janakpur in Dhanusha district on Saturday, Pokharel reasoned the victory of UML in the earlier two rounds of elections due to people's liking of UML's ideologies and ideals.
Stating that the UML was in favor of constitution amendment, Pokharel clarified that the certain issues not clear on the constitution amendment proposal registered in the parliament. Hence the UML was against it.
He asserted that some forces were hatching conspiracy to make Hindi language as the language of official use and clarified that the new constitution has provisioned any two languages to be chosen for official use besides Nepali language.
Also speaking at the programme, UML Secretary and Chief of Publicity Department of the party, Yogesh Bhattarai, claimed that the Madhesh-centric Rastriya Janata Party was falling into the conspiracy of Nepali Congress.
Citing that the development across Terai belt was during the UML-led government, he expressed his confidence that the people from Terai would choose to elect UML in the upcoming election in Province 2.
