Tilottama Municipality Intensifies Campaign to Clear Sidewalk Encroachments

Butwal. As the campaign to remove sidewalk encroachments has been ongoing in Butwal since Baishakh 6, neighboring Tilottama Municipality has also increased its efforts to control sidewalk obstructions.

Based on the notice issued by Tilottama Municipality on Baishakh 3, the Tilottama Chamber of Commerce has urged the removal of illegal structures, construction materials, pushcarts, and shop goods placed on sidewalks.

A meeting of the Chamber held on Baishakh 6 concluded that such materials placed within road boundaries are causing difficulties for pedestrians and negatively impacting urban aesthetics.

The notice issued by Chamber President Netra Prasad Neupane states that the support of all business owners and landlords is essential in the campaign to make the city clean, organized, and beautiful.

The notice requests that all individuals remove materials and structures encroaching on road boundaries within 7 days from the specified date. Otherwise, it warns that legal action will be initiated in accordance with municipal regulations.

Previously, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City also intensified its campaign to remove road encroachments starting from Baishakh 2.
