Nepali Congress Issues Internal Directive for Parliamentary Committee Elections

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has issued an internal circular directing its members in the House of Representatives' Education, Health and Information Technology Committee and the Joint Committee on Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of Directive Principles, Policies and Obligations of the State to vote for candidates from the CPN (UML) and the Communist Party of Nepal. The circular was issued to the party's lawmakers serving on these committees.

Two candidates each have filed nominations for the chairmanship of the Education Committee and the Joint Committee. Ojaswi Sherchan from the Rastriya Swatantra Party and Guru Baral from the CPN (UML) have filed nominations for the Education Committee.

Similarly, Madankumari Shah from the Communist Party of Nepal and Ganesh Karki from the Rastriya Swatantra Party have registered their candidacies for the chairmanship of the Joint Committee.
