Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Implements New Code of Conduct to Enhance Service Delivery

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has implemented a new code of conduct aimed at making service delivery more effective.

According to the new regulations applicable to all employees working within the ministry and its subordinate bodies, any task received at an employee's desk or through the system must be completed on the same day, or by the following day at the latest if same-day completion is not possible.

According to Ministry Joint Secretary Subash Chandra Siwakoti, this arrangement will ensure accountability by compelling employees to complete assigned responsibilities in a swift and high-quality manner.

Under the new policy, if a task cannot be completed within the stipulated time, the concerned employee must immediately inform their supervisor of the reason.

To ensure the effectiveness of this system, office heads have been tasked with obtaining signed commitment letters from all employees to guarantee compliance.

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has also directed its subordinate bodies to adopt austerity measures in the use of resources.
