Two killed in motorcycle-hiace collision in Kailali

Dhangadhi. Two people have died after a collision between a Hiace van and a motorcycle in Kailali. According to the police, the accident occurred on Tuesday evening at Gulara, Lamkichuha Municipality-7, along the East-West Highway, involving a Hiace van (Sudurpashchim Province 01-001-J-1421) and a motorcycle (Sudurpashchim Province 01-013-P-5139).

District Police Office spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yogendra Timilsina stated that 33-year-old Gagan Rana Magar and 24-year-old Pushpa Sunar, both residents of Lamkichuha Municipality-8, died in the accident. According to him, both individuals were rushed to Tikapur Hospital in critical condition, where they succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

The police have impounded the Hiace van and are currently searching for the driver. Authorities have also taken the owner of the vehicle into custody and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
