Nepali Congress General Secretary Thapa Calls for National Unity and Cooperation

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has emphasized that all political forces must rise above partisan interests and limitations for the benefit of the nation and its people. While extending his best wishes for the New Year 2083, he stated that all responsible bodies must unite to make the campaign for building a peaceful, civilized, and economically prosperous nation a success.

General Secretary Thapa noted that the primary responsibility now is to safeguard the historical achievements gained through the long sacrifices, struggles, and martyrdom of the Nepali people. He expressed the view that a unified resolve and determination are necessary to strengthen these achievements and face future national challenges. He stated that now is the time to firmly move forward on the path of good governance and economic development by utilizing new opportunities.

Thapa expressed his belief that the New Year will further strengthen unity, brotherhood, and harmony among Nepalis. He wished that the New Year would provide new energy, enthusiasm, and inspiration to everyone to move towards economic and social prosperity while institutionally strengthening the Federal Democratic Republic. He conveyed the message that political parties should focus on the shared goal of prosperity rather than just engaging in power games.
