Home Minister Gurung Emphasizes Integrity and Professionalism in Armed Police Force

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudan Gurung has stated that it is the need of the hour to work with honesty, accountability, and commitment toward the nation and its citizens.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 17th batch of Armed Police Inspector Basic Training held at the National Armed Police Force Academy in Matatirtha on Monday, Minister Gurung expressed his confidence that the Armed Police Force will play a significant role in national development through the effective implementation of government policies and programs.

He urged them to serve by fully embracing democratic values, the rule of law, and the spirit of a legal state. Minister Gurung highlighted that since its inception, the Armed Police Force has proven its relevance by establishing itself as a capable, reliable, and excellent security agency through the competence, efficiency, and professionalism demonstrated in the field. He praised the organization's remarkable role in border security, revenue leakage control, disaster management, and the protection of important individuals and establishments.

He directed all ranks of Armed Police personnel to be deployed with professional competence and restraint to monitor and control activities such as heinous crimes, cross-border crimes, disaster risks, and strikes, which continue to pose challenges to the country's internal security in the current context.
