Deepal S05 Secures Top Spot in JD Power 2026 China Quality Study

Kathmandu. The popular 'S05' model from Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Deepal has secured the first position in the JD Power 2026 China quality assessment. Deepal S05 achieved this milestone in the Pure Electric SUV segment under JD Power's 'NEV Initial Quality Study'.

JD Power is considered the most authoritative and reliable benchmark for measuring vehicle quality in China's rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) market.

Within about a year of its launch, over 200,000 units of the Deepal S05 have been sold across more than 70 countries, making it one of the most successful EV models exported from China. This latest international award is expected to further elevate the credibility of the vehicle, which has already been achieving impressive success in the Nepali market.

With a length of 4.62 meters and a wheelbase of 2.88 meters, the Deepal S05 is available in both pure battery electric and range-extended electric formats. 

In the Nepali market, this SUV is available with a 99 kW motor and a 56.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, which provides a range of up to 405 kilometers on a single full charge.

The 2026 JD Power study is based on 137 models from 49 brands across 81 cities in China. Direct feedback was collected from 21,177 vehicle owners. Based on the experiences of customers who have used the vehicle for 2 to 6 months, the Deepal S05 proved itself to be excellent in software, ADAS, and production engineering.
