Nepali Congress General Secretary Pradip Paudel Clarifies Active Membership Update Process

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Pradip Paudel has clarified that there is no plan to abolish the party's active membership. Writing on the social media platform Facebook, he addressed the confusion, stating, 'We are not abolishing active membership; we are updating it.' This comes in response to numerous inquiries regarding whether the Nepali Congress intends to scrap existing active memberships.

Paudel noted that this time, the party is moving forward with the active membership update process by paying special attention to technical aspects to eliminate errors seen in the past.

'To remove the errors seen in the past, we are moving forward with the active membership update process by paying special attention to the technical aspects this time,' Paudel wrote. 'By updating through the existing refined system, we can eliminate the problems and confusion we have faced regarding active membership in the past.'

He stated that the updated active membership will connect the party to every village, and the renewal of members dedicated to the Congress will make the party more responsible and stronger.
