Nepal Experiences Dual Influence of Westerly and Local Winds

Kathmandu. Nepal's weather system is currently under the dual influence of westerly and local winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology's Weather Forecasting Division, the partial impact of these winds has caused changes in weather across various parts of the country. 

Currently, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing generally cloudy conditions, while other hilly areas remain partially cloudy. The weather in the Terai districts remains generally clear.

Monday's weather forecast indicates that cloud cover will be more prevalent in the mountainous regions, with partial cloudiness expected in the hilly areas. Meteorologists have stated that there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in a few places in the mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two spots in other mountainous areas. 

The Terai region will experience sunshine, with weather remaining mainly clear. The Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions as the rain and snowfall in the mountainous regions may lead to a slight drop in temperatures.
