Gandaki Province defeats Lumbini Province in Prime Minister Cup

Parsa. In today's match under the Prime Minister Cup One Day National Cricket Tournament, Gandaki Province defeated Lumbini Province.

In the match held at Narayani Stadium in Birgunj, Gandaki defeated Lumbini Province by eight wickets. Batting first, Lumbini was all out for 207 runs in 45 overs. Santosh Yadav scored 82 runs off 77 balls and Salahuddin Khan scored 60 runs off 77 balls for the team.

Gandaki's Bipin Khatri took four wickets and Aparajit Paudel took three wickets.

In response, Gandaki reached 211 runs for the loss of two wickets in 44.1 overs. Arjun Kumal scored 103 runs off 130 balls and Sibrin Shrestha scored 43 runs off 77 balls for the team.

Lumbini Province's Dinesh Bohara and Santosh Yadav took one wicket each. In today's match, Gandaki's Arjun Kumal was declared 'Player of the Match' and received a cash prize of Rs 5,000.

The tournament features 10 teams, including three departmental teams—Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, and Nepal APF Club—and seven provincial teams. The winning team of the tournament will receive Rs 1 million, and the runner-up will receive Rs 500,000. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for Baisakh 4.
