Home Minister Gurung Directs Security Personnel to Curb Criminal Activities in Bharatpur

Bharatpur. Home Minister Sudan Gurung has directed security personnel to take a firm stance in controlling criminal activities, including drug-related offenses.

On Sunday, at the Nepal Police Academy in Bharatpur, he instructed the heads of district security agencies to maintain good governance in line with public expectations and to act strictly in controlling incidents such as drug abuse. 

According to District Police Office Chief, Superintendent of Police Govinda Puri, Minister Gurung emphasized providing efficient services that are felt by the public.

Home Minister Gurung also inspected various locations in the district today. On Saturday night, he observed landslide-prone areas along the Narayangadh-Mugling road section, including Ghoptebhir and Tuin Khola, and directed that work be expedited to ensure problems do not recur during the rainy season. Home Minister Gurung departed for Nawalparasi East today to inspect the Daunne road section along the East-West Highway.
