Roshan Pokharel released after arrest for alleged online abuse of Balen Shah

Kathmandu. Roshan Pokharel, who was arrested on charges of abusing leaders including Mayor Balen Shah via YouTube, has been released.

Pokharel, a resident of Phalgunanda-7, Panchthar, was arrested on Chaitra 26 based on an investigation by the Cyber Bureau. DSP Anish Karna, Chief of the District Police Office, Panchthar, stated that he was released into the custody of his relatives with the condition that he must appear when required.

Pokharel's arrest had sparked intense criticism of Balen Shah on social media.
