Body of missing youth recovered from Kamal River in Dhanusha

Dhanusha. The body of a youth who went missing while swimming has been recovered in Dhanusha. The body was found by Armed Police Force divers on Sunday morning in the Kamal River at Todkitol, Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-5.

18-year-old Mahamad Ayan Kamad, a resident of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-6, went missing after drowning while swimming in the river on Chaitra 28.

Immediately following the incident, a team deployed from the Armed Police Force Nepal Security Base Raghunathpur and the Chisapani Police Station initiated a search operation. When the initial team could not locate the missing youth, a specialized diving team was mobilized.

The Armed Police Force stated that the diving team recovered the body from a depth of approximately 40 meters, about 40 meters downstream from the incident site.
