Fire destroys house in Saptari due to gas leak

Saptari. A house was destroyed in a fire caused by a gas leak today in Bhardaha, located in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1 of the district.

Police Inspector Anil Kumar Sah of the District Police Office stated that the fire destroyed a four-room zinc-roofed house belonging to Dharmadev Das. Das's three-room kitchen was also completely gutted in the blaze.

Police estimate that the fire caused damages worth approximately 3.5 million rupees, including food grains, clothing, and furniture. The damage was exacerbated as the fire engine could not reach the site on time due to narrow roads.

The fire was brought under control through the joint efforts of local residents, police, and the municipal fire brigade. No human casualties were reported in the incident.
