Qatar grants amnesty to three Nepali citizens

Kathmandu. The government of Qatar has granted amnesty to three Nepali citizens. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the amnesty was granted on the occasion of Ramadan. 

The ministry announced during a press conference that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, granted the amnesty. The ministry informed that this was achieved through the efforts of the Nepali Embassy in Doha, Qatar. 

However, the ministry did not disclose the reasons for their imprisonment. Furthermore, their names have not been made public.

The ministry stated that all three Nepali citizens who received the amnesty are currently in the process of returning to Nepal.
