Ministry of Finance restricts access as budget preparations begin

Kathmandu. The south gate of the Ministry of Finance has been closed. The entrance accessible from the ministry's parking area has been shut down. 

The ministry has posted a notice stating that the route is closed due to ongoing budget discussion programs for the new fiscal year. Until now, anyone entering Singha Durbar could reach any office within the Ministry of Finance without inquiry. However, strict measures are typically implemented during the budget drafting period.

Historically, this practice was observed starting two weeks before the budget announcement. This year, however, the gate has been closed from the preliminary stage, with a month and a half still remaining.
