Nepal Handball Association President Pitambar Timsina Appointed to Asian Youth and School Handball Council

Kathmandu. Pitambar Timsina, President of the Nepal Handball Association, has been nominated as a council member of the Asian Youth and School Handball. The Asian Handball Federation has announced his appointment for a four-year term, spanning from 2025 to 2029.

In a letter signed by the Federation's Secretary General Mohammad Shafiq and Technical Director Jasim Al-Thayeb, it was expressed that Timsina's nomination is expected to contribute significantly to the development and expansion of youth and school-level handball in the Asian region. The Asian Youth and School Handball is considered a vital organ of the Asian Handball Federation.

Timsina is an experienced and capable figure in the Nepali sports sector. He has previously served as the Deputy Secretary General of the Nepal Olympic Committee and as the Vice President of the National Sports Council. Additionally, he served as the 'Chef de Mission' during the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).
