Lawmaker Karki calls for utilization of unused view towers and buildings

Kathmandu. Lawmaker Niti Bhandari Karki has demanded the proper utilization of view towers and buildings constructed without ensuring returns and sustainability.

Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, Lawmaker Karki emphasized the need to identify such structures built across the country that are currently unused and make them functional.

'Many view towers and buildings have been constructed in various places without regard for returns or sustainability, leaving them in a state of disuse,' she said, 'These unused buildings must be properly identified and brought into immediate use.'

Lawmaker Karki stated that detailed studies are essential for any new infrastructure projects. She advised the government to proceed with future infrastructure development only after conducting in-depth studies regarding their potential returns, sustainability, and the actual needs of the public.
