Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality Begins Construction of New Administrative Building

Bhojpur. A new administrative building is set to be constructed for the Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality in Bhojpur. The construction process has been initiated with the objective of making the rural municipality's administrative operations easier, faster, and more effective. According to the Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality, Adit Dahal, the building is being constructed through a cost-sharing model with 60 percent funding from the federal government and 40 percent from the rural municipality. He stated that the contract has been signed for Rs 57.1 million, with a target to complete construction by Ashoj 20, 2084.

While laying the foundation stone for the building, Rural Municipality Chairman Saroj Basnet described the commencement of the administrative building construction after long efforts as a significant achievement for the rural municipality. He noted that due to the lack of a systematic building, the rural municipality has been operating services from makeshift structures and rented houses.

“Currently, there are various challenges in service management due to the lack of a building,” he said, “After the construction of the new building, all services can be provided easily from a single location. This will directly benefit the citizens.” He expressed gratitude to the local residents who provided land for the building construction for free or at a subsidized rate, mentioning that their support has added positive energy to development and construction.

Rural Municipality Vice-Chairperson Ramadevi Rai stated that the construction of the administrative building will play a significant role in ending the problems the local government has been facing in service delivery due to the lack of a building. She mentioned that after the construction of the building, it will facilitate not only administrative services but also service delivery through the judicial committee. She stated that necessary coordination and facilitation will be done to ensure the building is completed on time with quality.

Construction entrepreneur Tej Shrestha committed to completing the building construction within the stipulated deadline if there are no obstacles. He stated that the construction will proceed according to technical standards and there will be no compromise on quality.

Local resident Rabichandra Rai said that the construction of the building will play a role in making service delivery faster, more effective, and transparent. He mentioned that currently, there are problems in receiving services due to the lack of a building.
