Nepal Implements Two-Day Weekend for Government Offices and Educational Institutions

Kathmandu. The Government of Nepal has decided to grant a two-day weekend for government offices and educational institutions. The Cabinet meeting held on Sunday made this decision due to the difficulties observed in the supply of petroleum products.

The decision to provide public holidays on Saturday and Sunday will come into effect from Tuesday. Along with the addition of holidays, office hours have also been revised.

Now, government offices will operate from 9 AM to 5 PM. With the implementation of the new schedule, activity has begun at Singha Durbar and other government offices as early as 8 AM. Photos:
