Armed Police Force Rescues 11 Stranded in Phewa Lake

Kathmandu. The Armed Police Force successfully rescued 11 individuals who were stranded in the middle of Phewa Lake, located in Pokhara Metropolitan City-6, Kaski, on Sunday.

They became trapped in the middle of the lake while using standing paddle boats due to a sudden windstorm.

Upon receiving information that they were stranded, a team led by Armed Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Bishal Gh.M. from the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 24 Kalika Battalion, Kaski, stationed at the Phewa Rescue Tower, carried out the rescue operation.

Those rescued include 19-year-old Sagar Bhujel and 20-year-old Suman Chaudhary from Shuklagandaki Municipality-2, Tanahun; 21-year-old Salina Pun from Pokhara Metropolitan City-33, Bagmara; 21-year-old Sanjita Pun, 20-year-old Sumina Tamang, 22-year-old Sushma Pun, 20-year-old Sanjita Magar, and 19-year-old Riya Magar from Annapurna-3, Myagdi; and 28-year-old Ayan, 28-year-old Ashlam, and 26-year-old Shadab from New Delhi, India.
