CPN-UML's Lila Kumari Bhandari Elected Unopposed as National Assembly Vice-Chair

Kathmandu. CPN-UML lawmaker Lila Kumari Bhandari has been elected unopposed as the Vice-Chair of the National Assembly.

Assistant Spokesperson of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Ananta Koirala, informed that only Bhandari's candidacy was filed within the time allotted for the registration of nominations for the Vice-Chair. The Secretariat had allocated time for nomination registration from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Sunday.

Koirala stated that the proposer for Bhandari's candidacy is CPN-UML National Assembly Parliamentary Party leader Prem Prasad Dangal. The supporters include Nepali Congress lawmaker Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal lawmaker Puja Chaudhary, and CPN (Unified Socialist) lawmaker Madan Kumari Shah Garima.

The Secretariat will publish the information regarding the candidacy by issuing a notice at 4:00 PM on Sunday. The formal announcement of her election will be made during the National Assembly meeting scheduled for 1:15 PM on Monday.
