Newly Elected Speaker Aryal Pledges to Uphold Parliamentary Dignity

Kathmandu. Newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dol Prasad Aryal, has expressed his firm commitment to working in a manner that upholds the dignity and decorum of the Parliament. Speaking to journalists at the Federal Parliament building complex immediately after his election, Aryal stated that he would proceed by fully adhering to the Constitution and the law.

He clarified that he would play an impartial role in the House without siding with any party or opposition, and would protect the self-respect of all lawmakers. Newly elected Speaker Aryal claimed to have a strong grasp of the Constitution and the law, noting that he would conduct parliamentary proceedings according to established rules and procedures.

'I have studied the Constitution and the law thoroughly, and I will work in a way that respects all honorable members by following them,' he said. He added that he is always prepared to make the Parliament dignified and provide appropriate space for the voices of all political parties.

Aryal also stated that he would leave no stone unturned to make the House's operations efficient and further strengthen parliamentary practices. He has assured that he will coordinate with all political parties and lawmakers to establish the Parliament as an effective platform.
