Southampton eliminate Arsenal to reach FA Cup semi-finals

Kathmandu. Southampton have secured their place in the FA Cup semi-finals after defeating Arsenal 2-1 in the quarter-finals.

In a competitive match held on Sunday, Southampton took an early lead. Ross Stewart scored in the 35th minute to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage, which they maintained through the first half.

Arsenal attempted to rally in the second half, with Viktor Gyokeres equalizing the score at 1-1 in the 68th minute.

As the match appeared headed for a draw, Shea Charles scored the decisive goal in the 85th minute to secure a 2-1 victory for Southampton. Arsenal were unable to respond in the remaining time.

With this win, Southampton advance to the FA Cup semi-finals, while Arsenal are eliminated from the competition.
