Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala denies factional affiliation

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has stated that he does not belong to any specific faction within the party. Speaking at the annual general meeting of the BP Memorial Community Cooperative Hospital in Kathmandu on Saturday, leader Koirala expressed his objection to the propaganda on social media labeling him as part of one group or another.

He asserted that his goal is to unite the Congress party and stated that he would strive for this until the end. Leader Koirala expressed his desire to establish the Congress as the leading political force in the upcoming elections by keeping the party united.

During the event, he also mentioned that retired doctors could make a special contribution to the effective operation of the hospital, which was established in the name of BP Koirala.
