Finance Minister Wagle Emphasizes Government Commitment to Good Governance and Economic Reform

Birgunj. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle stated that the current government is dedicated to establishing order in the country. Minister Wagle made these remarks during a pre-budget interaction program for the fiscal year 083/084 organized by the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday.

He emphasized that good governance is the primary objective of the government. Addressing the concerns of industrialists regarding the cumbersome rules, regulations, and laws currently hindering the country's economy, Minister Wagle stated that work is underway to resolve these issues.

He noted that the government is fully committed to resolving complex problems in tax procedures, acts, and regulations to create an environment free from corruption and 'setting' practices. He added that the government is planning to reduce the tax burden on traders and minimize the harassment and bureaucratic hurdles faced in various offices.

Minister Wagle asserted that since this is a 'Gen-Z movement,' the government will leave no stone unturned to work in accordance with its spirit.

According to him, preparations are underway to provide special facilities in education and health for the middle class. He clarified that the new government's stance is to work in a manner that honors the public mandate.
