Minister Ganesh Paudel Bans Electronic Devices in Office to Prevent Misuse of Photos

Kathmandu. Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ganesh Paudel has prohibited the entry of mobile phones and other electronic devices into his office. He announced via social media on Friday that this decision was made following complaints that some individuals were misusing photos taken with the Minister to seek unauthorized benefits.

He stated that information had been received regarding individuals claiming a special relationship with the Minister by showing cordial photos taken at the ministry or during other meetings, and attempting to gain benefits from the public and government agencies. He noted that this matter has drawn serious attention from both him and his secretariat.

To control such activities and to make the ministry's operations organized, dignified, and transparent, Minister Paudel clarified that the ban on mobile phones and other electronic devices inside his office is effective starting today. He also apologized for any inconvenience this rule may cause to well-meaning visitors and staff members.
