RSP Chair Lamichhane Urges Opposition to Maintain Constant Oversight of Government

Kathmandu. Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has urged opposition parties to maintain 24-hour surveillance over the government.

Lamichhane made this suggestion while addressing the first meeting of the House of Representatives that commenced on Thursday. 

‘I have a request for the opposition: please keep us under 24-hour surveillance,’ stated MP Lamichhane.  He emphasized that if the party loses the historic mandate given by the people, they will be disgraced.

‘That is not acceptable to us. I remind my colleagues in the RSP that we came here by asking questions. Our seats may have changed, but our moral responsibility toward those questions remains the same,’ the party leader reminded his fellow MPs.
