Minister Rawal Initiates Dialogue with Cooperative Fraud Victims

Kathmandu. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Pratibha Rawal, has begun direct discussions with victims defrauded by cooperative institutions. The government has set a target to recover the lost funds of small cooperative savers within the next 100 days. It is reported that Minister Rawal initiated this dialogue to implement this goal and listen to the genuine grievances of the victims.

The discussion held at the ministry saw the participation of representatives from the 'Victim Savers Campaign National Federation'. During the meeting, the federation's representatives drew Minister Rawal's attention to the fraud committed by cooperative operators, their ongoing struggle for justice, and the need for guarantees regarding the return of their funds.

In response, Minister Rawal stated that the government is seriously committed to resolving cooperative issues. She informed that the ministry is working with urgency to ensure the success of the government's 100-day action plan to recover the hard-earned savings of small depositors.
