Artists' team from Benares visits Basantapur
Kathmandu - Artists from Benares of India who arrived here to have an intimate understanding about the Nepali art, culture and lifestyle visited the Basantapur Durbar Square area today where they worked with new creations.
Nepal Fine Arts Forum arranged their the Kathmandu Valley trip aimed at creating new artworks based on field observation to various cultural heritage sites here and finally exhibit such works in their hometown.
The trip is supported by the Nepal Lumbini World Pace Forum and BP Koirala Nepal-India Foundation. The group will also visit the Narayanhiti Museum, Changunarayan Temple and Pilot Baba Ashram during their stay until August 27, programme coordinator Deependra Banepali said. On Wednesday, the 11-member group led by Amit Kumar Mehata joined with a squad of 10 Nepali artists in Mrigasthali, Pashupati for their artistic creation.
