Kathmandu. In a match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Punjab Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by three wickets. Aided by an unbeaten half-century from Cooper Connolly, Punjab secured a thrilling victory with five balls to spare.

Chasing the target of 163 set by Gujarat, Punjab completed the target in 19.1 overs, losing 7 wickets. Cooper Connolly was the hero for Punjab, playing an outstanding unbeaten innings of 72 runs off just 44 balls. He was supported by Prabhsimran Singh with 37 runs and Shreyas Iyer with 18 runs. For Gujarat, Prasidh Krishna took 3 wickets in bowling, while Rashid Khan and Washington Sundar claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans, having lost the toss and opting to bat first, scored 162 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Shubman Gill was the top scorer for Gujarat with 39 runs, while Jos Buttler contributed 38 runs. Glenn Phillips added 25 runs.
