Health Ministry Recalls 14 Specialist Doctors from Convenient Posts to Original Stations

Kathmandu. Specialist doctors who were stationed in well-equipped hospitals in accessible areas by misusing their access and power have been recalled by the Ministry of Health and Population to the hospitals where their original permanent positions are based.

The Minister of Health and Population, Nisha Mehta, taking steps to balance the health service system across the country and end the shortage of specialist doctors in remote and regional hospitals, has recalled 14 specialist doctors in the first phase.

According to the Ministry's decision, these specialist doctors of the ninth and tenth levels in the health service have been assigned to the bodies where their permanent positions exist to make the health services at Dadeldhura Hospital, Narayani Hospital (Parsa), and Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital (Rajbiraj) more effective.

Previously, they were working on deputation in accessible and central bodies such as the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' offices of various provinces, as well as Bharatpur Hospital, Koshi Hospital, Bir Hospital, Kanti Children's Hospital, Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences, and the Department of Health Services.

According to the Ministry's details, Dr. Rohita Bajracharya, Dr. Josanlal Bajracharya, Dr. Vishal Kumar Dev, Dr. Prakash Dhakal, and Dr. Sushil Samadarshi have been sent back to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital.

 Similarly, Dr. Santosh Kumar Gupta, Dr. Misanta Sharma, Dr. Navin Chandra Bhatt, and Dr. Suyogya Wagle have been returned to Dadeldhura Hospital. Likewise, Dr. Sonika Dhari Shrestha, Deputy Chief Medical Lab Technologist Sanjog Timilsina, Dr. Arun Gyawali, Dr. Mukesh Poudel, and Dr. Dipesh Bhattarai have been recalled to Narayani Hospital.
