Dozens of Central Committee Members Attend Nepali Congress Meeting Convened by Deuba and Koirala Factions

Kathmandu. More than 60 central committee members, including half a dozen former office bearers, have participated in the meeting of the Central Working Committee elected from the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, called by the factions led by Sher Bahadur Deuba and Dr. Shekhar Koirala.

Former Central Member Laxmi Khatiwada informed that leaders are still arriving at the meeting that just began at the Smart Hotel in Maharajgunj.

The meeting is being chaired by Purnabahadur Khadka, who was elected as Vice President in the 14th General Convention and was given the responsibility of Acting President by President Deuba in the Central Working Committee meeting held on the last Assoj 28.

Former Joint General Secretaries Badri Pandey, Jeevan Pariyar, and Mahalakshmi Upadhyay 'Dina' are present at the meeting.

Dr. Shekhar Koirala, the closest rival to President Deuba in the 14th General Convention, former Vice Presidents Bimalendra Nidhi and Prakash Man Singh, and former General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala are also participating.

Similarly, Central Committee members Bal Bahadur KC, Anand Prasad Dhungana, NP Saud, Shyam Kumar Ghimire, Ambika Basnet, Ishwaridevi Neupane, and Rama Koirala Poudyal have attended the meeting. Bidyadevi Timalsina, Laxmi Khatiwada, Saraswati Bajimay, Man Bahadur Bishwakarma, Rajib Bikram Shah, Man Bahadur Nepali, Dhyanagovinda Ranjit, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, Jeetjung Basnet, and Min Bishwakarma are also participating.

Dr. Minendra Rijal, Padmanarayan Chaudhary, Madan Amatya, Sita Gurung, Bhim Parajuli, Saraswati Aryal Tiwari, Mahindra Limbu, Deepak Giri, and Gehendra Giri have also arrived. Ramhari Khatiwada, Shiva Humagain, Umeshjung Rayamajhi, Dilendra Badu, Sujata Pariyar, Harishankar Pariyar, Guru Baral, Shanti Pariyar Bika, Sita Rana, and Bir Bahadur Balayar are present.

Balayar is the Provincial President of the party's Sudurpashchim Province. He is an ex-officio member of the Central Working Committee. Similarly, Karnali Province President Lalitjung Shahi is also present.

Furthermore, Central Committee members Kundan Kafle, Pushpa Parajuli, Arjunjung Bahadur Singh, Radha Ghale, Dr. Ranabahadur Rawal, Ganesh Lama, Kalyani Rijal, Kiran Poudel, Pradip Sunuwar, Govinda Bhattarai, Asha Bika, Sharada Poudel, Jeevan Rana, and Sushila Mishra have also attended the meeting. The meeting has commenced.
