Rupandehi Police Seize Vehicles Involved in Illegal Soil Excavation and Transport

Bhairahawa. The District Police Office, Rupandehi, has intensified action against vehicles involved in illegal soil excavation and transportation, seizing a tipper, JCB, and excavator.

According to the office, a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Ranyoura, seized a JCB with registration number Bhe 1 Kha 13445, a tipper with Lu 2 Kha 4995, and an excavator with Na 1 Ka 8026 while illegal soil excavation and transportation were taking place from the Danav River in Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality-2, Kaluwa.

District Police Chief Superintendent Janak Bahadur Shahi informed that the seized vehicles were sent to the Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality office for necessary action, resulting in a fine of NPR 320,000.

The District Police Office stated that along with controlling theft and smuggling in the district, strict measures are also being taken against the illegal exploitation of natural resources. Police Spokesperson Krishna Kumar Chand informed that the police have increased surveillance against those illegally excavating stone, gravel, sand, and soil in recent times.

The police have stated that anyone involved in illegal activities will be brought under the legal framework. The police have announced that monitoring and action against such activities have been intensified to stop them.
