Ten Candidates Fail to Submit Election Expense Reports in Dang District

Dang. Ten out of the 60 candidates who contested the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21 are yet to submit their election expense details.

According to Gehendra Kunwar, Information Officer at the Lumbini Province Election Office, Dang, those who have not submitted their expense reports include Sitaram Yadav of the Aam Janata Party, who was a candidate from Constituency No. 1; Dhundiraj Thapa of the Janata Samajbadi Party, Pratik Adhikari of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, Jharendra Bahadur Khatri of the Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, Krishna Bahadur Sunar of the Aam Janata Party, and independent candidate Padamprasad Pandey, all from Constituency No. 2.

Similarly, Shobha Dangi of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Santosh Singh of the Miteri Party Nepal, Mahesh Chaudhary of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, and independent candidate Bhagiram Chaudhary from Dang Constituency No. 3 are also among those who have not submitted their reports, Kunwar informed.

According to Information Officer Kunwar, the legal provision under Section 72 of the Election Act, 2074, mandates that candidates must submit details of their election expenditures to the concerned election office within 30 days of the declaration of the election results.
