Nepali Congress Leader Shekhar Koirala Defends Separate Factional Meetings

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala stated that the tradition of holding separate gatherings within the party has been ongoing for a long time. Speaking at a program organized on Monday under the leadership of outgoing acting president Purna Bahadur Khadka and himself to honor the newly elected members of parliament, Dr. Koirala said that such meetings are natural.

“These are all things that we Nepali Congress members have been doing, and we continue to do them now,” Dr. Koirala said, “We always have such meetings with you all.”

He urged the newly elected members of parliament to seek suggestions from leaders outside the parliament regarding the issues to be taken to the parliament.
