Six Journalists Honored in Tanahun on Federation's 71st Anniversary

Tanahun. Six journalists were awarded on the occasion of the 71st establishment day of the Nepal Journalists Federation in Tanahun. They were honored at a program organized by the Tanahun branch of the Nepal Journalists Federation in Damauli today.

Ujwal Paudel was awarded the Suraj Gurung Memorial Journalism Award established by Ran Bahadur Gurung, Narayan Khadka received the Bhawani Khanal Memorial Journalism Award established by Muktinath Khanal, Shrihari Paudel received the Purushottam Kafle Memorial Journalism Award established by Pradip Kafle, Rajkumar Shrestha Bibi received the Haribhakta Bhattarai Memorial Journalism Award established by Uttam and Suman Bhattarai, Mila Darai received the Chiranjivi Harimaya Memorial Journalism Award established by Senior Advocate Kamalamohan Wagle, and Omkar Acharya received the Tikanidhi Dhungana Memorial Byas Parashar Journalism Award established by Bhagyalashali Dhungana.

The Federation has been honoring journalists working in sectors such as justice, cooperatives, religious, cultural, and tourism. The Suraj Gurung Journalism Award carries a cash prize of NPR 5,000, while other awards carry a cash prize of NPR 10,000 each.

They were awarded by Byas Municipality Mayor Baikuntha Neupane, Chief District Officer Shivalal Tiwari, Branch President DP Adhikari, and others.
