Over 1,300 Residents Receive Free Eye Screenings in Parbat's Modi Rural Municipality

Parbat. A total of 1,358 citizens had their eyes tested during a free eye camp organized in Modi Rural Municipality here. The camp was conducted from Chaitra 8 to 15 with technical support from the Himalayan Eye Hospital, operated by the Nepal Netrajyoti Sangh.

During the eye examination, cataracts were detected in 51 individuals. Modi Rural Municipality Chairperson Hiradevi Sharma informed that their sight was restored through surgery performed by specialists from the Himalayan Eye Hospital. She stated, "Elderly people who previously came to the camp relying on family support can now return home on their own after receiving eye treatment."

Modi Rural Municipality Vice-Chairperson Bimal Lamichhane stated that the elderly who had been living without sight for a long time benefited from this camp. The elderly who had been suffering from vision loss for years are delighted as their eyesight has been restored.
