Prachanda Has No Comment on Probe into Assets of Public Officials

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' stated that he has no reaction to the current government's decision regarding the investigation into the assets of individuals holding public office, as he was the one who initially raised the issue. Speaking to journalists at the Central Office in Paris Danda after a parliamentary party meeting, he mentioned that he would comment further after studying the matter.

‘It was I who previously advocated for the investigation of assets belonging to the Prime Minister, government employees, and individuals in state bodies. We will comment only after studying the anti-money laundering investigation the government is undertaking. Our party will support the actions taken by the current government in accordance with the law,’ he said.
