Filming Underway for Nepali Movie 'Panch Pandav' in Eastern Nepal

Filming for the movie 'Panch Pandav' is currently in full swing at various locations in Jhapa, Eastern Nepal.

Two new actors have joined the film, which began shooting two weeks ago. The production unit announced that Prashant Tamrakar and TikToker Eva Giri have been cast in the movie.

Director Basanta Niraula shared that the addition of these two actors has broadened the canvas of the film, which is being produced under the banner of Kali Rani Films. The movie, which commenced shooting with a formal launch in the Nepal-India border town of Kakarbhitta on Chaitra 2, will feature lead performances by Hari Bansha Acharya, Jitu Nepal, Aryan Sigdel, Mahesh Tripathi, and Sagar Lamsal (Bale). Deepa Shree Niraula and Jani Gurung will appear as the female lead characters in the story woven around these five central figures.

Although the film is titled 'Panch Pandav' (Five Pandavas), writer Sushil Paudel clarified that it is not a mythological or religious story but a completely social narrative. The film will present a story of contemporary Nepali society using the characters and imagery of the five Pandavas from the Mahabharata.

The presenter of the film is Navin Shrestha. The movie has a shooting schedule set for 40 days, with most scenes being captured in the scenic and significant locations of Jhapa.
