Heightened Security at Kailali District Administration Office Ahead of CPN-UML Protest

Kailali. Security arrangements at the District Administration Office, Kailali have been tightened since this morning. A large number of security personnel have been deployed in front of the administration office after CPN (UML) scheduled a program to submit a memorandum protesting the arrest of its chairman.

CPN (UML) Kailali is preparing to submit a memorandum to the government through the Chief District Officer, along with a demonstration today, calling the arrest of the UML chairman political vendetta. Considering the potential tension and clashes, there is a heavy presence of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force at the main gate and surrounding areas of the administration office.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, security personnel have been deployed keeping in view the security sensitivity, and necessary precautions are being taken to maintain peace and security.

UML cadres are preparing to march from the party office towards the administration office in a procession. CPN (UML) has been demanding the immediate release of its arrested leader. 

Due to the memorandum submission program, traffic in the main roads of Dhangadhi and the vicinity of the District Administration Office is likely to be affected.
