Head of Commission Investigating 'Genji Performance' Receives Threats

Gauribahadur Karki, chairman of the high-level commission formed to investigate the 'Genji performance,' has received threats.

He informed the government that unknown individuals issued the threats. Security alertness has been increased at Karki's residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur. A meeting of the Kathmandu District Security Committee has been called to discuss moving him from Bhaktapur to another secure location.

A high-ranking security official told Ratopati that the District Security Committee will decide where to keep him.

It is reported that options for housing Karki in an army or Armed Police Force barracks are being discussed. Based on the recommendations of the commission led by Karki, former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak were arrested on Saturday.
