SSP Hobindra Bogati of the District Police Range, Lalitpur, informed Ratopati that Malla was arrested from Satdobato on Saturday in connection with a rape charge.

Previously, a young woman filed a rape complaint against Malla, a UML provincial member from Mugu, at the District Police Range, Lalitpur. She alleges that Malla raped her in a hotel in Balkumari.
