CPN-UML Leader Yogesh Bhattarai Calls for Restraint Following Arrests of Oli and Lekhak

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Deputy Secretary-General Yogesh Bhattarai stated that the state and government should be restrained rather than aggressive in a democratic system. Expressing dissatisfaction over the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, he said, "We must move towards dialogue and cooperation, not revenge and retaliation."

Bhattarai further added, "The mockery of the rule of law is unacceptable. There must be a judicial, impartial, and transparent investigation into the incident. I condemn the arrest of our party's CPN-UML Chairman Comrade KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak. I demand their immediate release."

He also drew the government's attention to ensuring that the mandate received from the people is not misused. He mentioned that the party will face adverse situations with restraint, patience, and unity.
