Rautahat Police Seize 15 Motorcycles Without Documents, Recover Smuggled Goods

Rautahat. Rautahat Police have seized 15 motorcycles without proper documentation and recovered goods smuggled to evade customs duties. A checking team deployed from the District Police Office and the Temporary Police Post at the Bus Park recovered 15 motorcycles lacking documents while inspecting vehicles at the Bus Park Chowk in Gaur Municipality-4 on Wednesday.

Police stated that the estimated value of the seized motorcycles is 1.17 million rupees. Similarly, food items and other goods worth 7,230 rupees being brought into Nepal by evading customs duties were also recovered.

DSP Bishnu Pradip Basnyal, spokesperson for the District Police Office Rautahat, stated that the motorcycles and illegal materials, seized from different locations by teams deployed from the District Police Office Rautahat and its subordinate units on various dates and times, were handed over to the Gaur Customs Office for necessary action, with a total assessed value of 1,177,230 rupees.
