Weather Forecast Indicates Partial Cloudiness and Potential Rain/Snowfall in Parts of Nepal

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of the westerly wind system along with local air masses. Due to this influence, there is generally cloudy weather in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and the mountainous region of Bagmati province. The remaining hilly and mountainous areas have partial cloud cover, while the Terai region remains mostly clear.

This afternoon, the mountainous regions across the country will experience general cloud cover. The hilly regions will have partial cloudiness, and the Terai region will remain mostly clear.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in a few places in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, along with snowfall.

Tonight, the mountainous regions of the country will experience general cloud cover. The hilly and Terai regions will have partial cloudiness. The department has indicated a possibility of light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and snowfall in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and in the remaining mountainous regions.
