Nepali Congress Decides to Hold 15th General Convention in October

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has decided to hold the party's 15th General Convention in the month of Assoj (mid-September to mid-October). The Congress Central Working Committee meeting held on Wednesday at the party office in Sanepa passed the revised date to hold the 15th General Convention in Kathmandu on Assoj 16, 17, and 18.

The Congress announced that the ward conventions will begin from Bhadra 3 as part of the General Convention. Earlier, in Tuesday's meeting, President Gagan Kumar Thapa had proposed holding the General Convention in Bhadra.

Spokesperson Devraj Chalise informed that the meeting initiated the General Convention process and formed an election committee chaired by Senior Advocate Prem Bahadur Khadka for this purpose.

Spokesperson Chalise further informed that the meeting decided to advance an all-party discussion under the party's leadership for constitutional amendment. He also stated that best wishes were extended to the new government for success in good governance and progress.

He informed that the meeting formed a study committee under the joint convenorship of the two General Secretaries to activate the party's sister and well-wisher organizations.
