US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Conveys Congratulations to RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane via Phone Call

Kathmandu. The US Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, held a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane. The US Embassy in Kathmandu stated that during the call, Special Envoy Lu congratulated Lamichhane on his success in the recently concluded elections.

According to the Embassy, Special Envoy Lu spoke with Chairman Lamichhane on Chaitra 10, extending best wishes for the victory achieved by the RSP through the election results.

The Embassy also reported that during the telephone conversation, Special Envoy Lu discussed diplomatic relations between Nepal and the United States and future cooperation. He expressed that the US is fully eager to cooperate with the new government of Nepal and affirmed a commitment to further strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries.

The Special Envoy also conveyed the message that the US is positive about deepening and strengthening the decades-long friendship between Nepal and America.
